Designing activity of Mostostal Gdańsk SA goes in two directions:

• special purpose metal structures design, such as stacks, masts, towers, tanks and silos and common use structures such as industrial workshops, sports halls, steel-frame buildings and trestle bridges;

• organisational and technological scheduling of investments, i.e. work organisation schedules, construction site organisation, assembly and loading projects, transport of structure components, work timetables and relationship links.

                 Our rich experiences in work performance find their use in our designing activity. The structures we design have been characterised by simplicity of production which is followed by lower production costs. We have got experience in designing and assembly of heavy and non-typical units such as radiotelescopes, masts and tanks. For the first time in Poland, cranes with lifting capacity of 1000 tons have been employed for machine assembly work in accordance with our design.

                We are in the position of being able to find solution to any technical problem found in the areas of steel structure construction and assembly and disassembly of machines and structures.

                Mostostal Gdańsk SA provides a wide range of crane and transport services. Over 30 of our hydraulic cranes with lifting capacity of 10 to 200 tons that work at various construction sites are also used to provide complex crane and transport services all over Poland.

                In our endeavours to meet the demands of modern assembly technology we are constantly modernising and expanding the range of cranes and specialised transport units that we own at our disposal. KRUP KMK 6200 hydraulic crane with lifting capacity of 200 tons, unique nation-wide, possesses particularly wide range of applications and is able to service an area of 65 metre long radius when assembled in 100 m tower version.

                Unique working capability, particularly for transport of over-standard loads, is exhibited by such transporting units as, for example, a five-axis low-loading semitrailer of 50 tons loading capacity, which can be lengthened to 27 metres.

                It has been our long lasting tradition, at Mostostal Gdańsk SA to sustain welding technology at high level. This results from the manufacture requirements as well as our ambitions to achieve world standard in the subject. We have significantly invested in the purchased of the best world-known equipment.

                We run courses and constant training of technical staff and production employees to make their knowledge and skills reflect the requirements of the market. We are able to evaluate various welding techniques as well as perform necessary weld tests. The achievement of modern science are available to us through co-operation with Gdańsk Technical University and Welding Technology Institute in Gliwice.
